As a commercial photographer, I focus on capturing images that make your brand stand out. Based in Hamilton, New Zealand, I’m available for travel and remote work to provide high-quality imagery for your business.

My love for photography began in my childhood in Provence, when I borrowed my parents' camera. Years of learning, mentorship, countless moments behind the lens, and industry feedback have helped me turn this passion into my dream job.

With over ten years of experience, I’ve refined my skills in lighting, editing, retouching, and food styling. I approach every project with creativity and a focus on delivering what matters most to your brand.

Lucie 'Lemon’

had the privilege of contributing to the talented team at My Food Bag for over three years, working in one of NZ's top studios:

"As one of the super-talented photographers behind our stunning food pics, Lucie ‘Lemon’ loves living out her passion everyday with the My Food Bag team. A visual storyteller at heart, she is passionate about showcasing food in the most appetising way possible. Lucie is an avid foodie too, with a love of Japanese food, 'especially sushi and sashimi with sweet soy sauce and lots of pickled ginger!'. When she’s not behind the camera, you’ll find Lucie on the dance floor doing Latin dancing and enjoying healthy food with the people she loves."

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

1. What types of photography do you specialise in?

I specialise in food, product, lifestyle, and brand photography, working with businesses that care about quality and connection. From styled food shoots to brand portraits and creative product imagery, I focus on visuals that speak to your ideal customer.

2. Where are you based, do you travel and work remotely?

I'm based in Hamilton, New Zealand, and yes, I travel! Whether your brand is in Waikato, Auckland, or further afield, I’m available to shoot on location or remotely. Travel fees may apply outside Hamilton.

3. How do I book a food or brand shoot with you?

Start by getting in touch via email at picturedbylucie@gmail.com or through my contact page. I’ll guide you through the process, from discussing your goals and mood-board ideas to shoot day and final delivery.

4. Do you offer packages or custom quotes?

Yes, I offer both. Many of my clients prefer custom quotes tailored to their needs, especially if they’re planning a campaign, product launch, or seasonal shoot. I also have standard packages available for smaller-scale projects.

5. Can you help with creative direction or styling?

Absolutely. With over 10 years’ experience in lighting, art direction, food styling, and brand storytelling, I bring more than just photography to the table. I’m happy to help refine your concept, source props, and create scroll-stopping imagery. If you already have a brief, that's super helpful, and if not, I’m happy to help you create one: Request a Project Brief Form

6. Do you work with agencies or larger brands?

Yes. I regularly work with agencies and high-end brands for national and international campaigns, providing a seamless experience from brief to delivery. I’m experienced in remote collaboration and can adapt to your internal processes.

7. Do you work with restaurants and hospitality businesses?

Yes, regularly! I offer restaurant photography packages that capture your dishes, drinks, team, and interiors. These shoots are great for updating your website, social media, or menus with fresh, professional visuals. Enquire to get pricing.

8. What should I expect from a shoot day?

Shoot days are organised but relaxed. I’ll arrive prepared with a clear plan and the gear required for the project, and I stay flexible to capture what matters most. Expect collaboration, creativity, and an eye for the little details that elevate your visuals.

9. Do you offer photography for e-commerce or product launches?

Yes. I shoot clean, consistent e-commerce photography for online stores, as well as creative campaign imagery for launches. Whether you need styled flat-lays or pack shots/white-background shots, I’ve got you covered.

10. How are the final images delivered?

You’ll receive a private online gallery where you can download the images after selecting your favourites. If your package includes a set number of edited images, you can also purchase extras.

11. Can you also create reels or short-form video content?

Yes! I offer short video and reel creation as an add-on or standalone service. These work beautifully alongside your photography to boost your brand’s online visibility and engagement. Popular content creation options include stop-motion videos and behind-the-scenes.

12. How far in advance should I book?

I recommend booking at least 2–4 weeks in advance to secure your preferred date. For larger campaigns and shoots, more lead time is even better, it gives us time to prep, plan, and meet your deadlines. That said, don’t hesitate to ask for my availability

I can sometimes accommodate a quick turnaround depending on my schedule.

13. Can you source models or locations if needed?

Yes. I’m happy to help source models, props, or locations. Or you’re welcome to provide your own. We’ll plan it all together based on your goals and budget.

14. Do you offer retouching or editing services?

Yes, part of my training is picture editing. All final images are professionally edited, with colour correction, cropping, and attention to detail. I aim for a polished but natural look that aligns with your brand.

15. What makes your photography different?

I blend creativity with commercial strategy, meaning every photo looks great, but also helps you reach your business goals. Clients say I bring a calm, thoughtful energy to shoots, with a sharp eye for detail, lighting and storytelling. If you're after photography that connects with your audience and aligns with your brand, let's work together.
