A cozy dish that comes together in no time! This Chicken & Bacon Orzo is rich and full of comforting flavours, thanks to L’Authentique’s French grind, parmesan, and a zesty hit of lemon. Perfect for an easy yet impressive meal, just grab a fork and dig in!
I styled and photographed this recipe hero and also created the accompanying video for social media. And of course, I couldn’t resist enjoying it afterwards!

Ingredients
1 pack l’Authentique Chicken & Bacon French grind
1 cup orzo
1 onion, diced
2 garlic cloves, finely chopped
1/2 cup dry white wine
1 cup chicken stock
1 cup chopped spinach or similar green
1½ cup parmesan, grated
zest & juice of 1 lemon
1 tsp chilli flakes
Preparation

Heat olive oil, onion and garlic gently to soften.
Increase heat, add grind, and sauté for 4 mins.
Add white wine to deglaze pan, simmer off till reduced by half, then add orzo, chilli and fry gently on lower heat for 2 mins.
Add chicken stock and simmer gently until orzo is cooked - you may need to add more water or lid your pan to retain liquid.
Add spinach, toss through for 2 minutes gently, add lemon zest, juice to taste, parmesan cheese and toss again.
Add a splash of water to loosen if needed & a some of your nicest olive oil to serve.
